On 13 December 2019, the Australian Energy Regulator (AER) approved a gas retailer authorisation application from Discover Energy Pty Ltd (Discover Energy) under the National Energy Retail Law (Retail Law).
Background
On 4 October 2019, the AER accepted an application from Discover Energy for a gas retailer authorisation under the National Energy Retail Law (Retail Law). Discover Energy is now authorised to retail gas as and when the Retail Law is adopted in each participating jurisdiction.
The AER sought submissions from interested stakeholders. Consultation on the application closed on Wednesday 6 November 2019. No submissions were received.
