On 14 August 2015, the AER granted a retailer authorisation to 1st Energy Pty Ltd (1st Energy) under the National Energy Retail Law. 1st Energy is now authorised to retail electricity as and when the National Energy Retail Law is adopted in each participating jurisdiction.
The AER sought public submissions on 1st Energy's application for retailer authorisation. Consultation on the application closed on 24 July 2015. No submissions were received.
