Update
On 15 December 2017 the AER wrote to APTNT setting out how it proposed to correct a mathematical error in the inflation calculation in its 26 May 2016 decision.
Subject to considering submissions on our proposed correction, the AER is proposing to revoke the 26 May 2016 access arrangement and substitute it with a new access arrangement to correct the identified error under clause 68 of the NGR by no later than 1 March 2018.
Background
The AER is required under the National Gas Rules to review the access arrangement proposal from APT Pipelines (NT) Pty Ltd (APTNT) and to determine a forecast revenue requirement.
On 4 August 2015, APTNT submitted its access arrangement proposal for the Amadeus Gas Pipeline (AGP) and supporting information to the AER. The proposal covers the access arrangement period 1 July 2016 to 30 June 2021 and includes information on proposed capital and operating expenditure for that period. Submissions on Amadeus' regulatory proposal closed on 2 September 2015.
On 26 November 2015, we released our draft decision on APTNT's access arrangement for the 2016–21 access arrangement period.
On 6 January 2016, APTNT submitted its revised proposal for the 2016-21 access arrangement period. Interested stakeholders provided submissions on the AER draft decision and the revised proposal from APTNT for the Amadeus Gas Pipeline (NT).
