Essential Energy has submitted an application for a waiver of clause 4.2 of the Ring-fencing Guideline (Electricity distribution). This waiver would enable Essential Energy to continue providing contestable technical training to Accredited Service Providers in specific locations in regional New South Wales.

An existing waiver for this purpose is due to expire on 30 June 2024.

The AER invites interested parties to make submissions on this an application for ring-fencing a waiver by 21 December 2023.

We prefer that all submissions are in Microsoft Word or another text readable document format. Submissions should be emailed to AERringfencingaer [dot] gov [dot] au (AERringfencing[at]aer[dot]gov[dot]au) with the subject heading ‘Application - Essential Energy - Ring-fencing waiver’.
