On 19 November 2015, Victoria’s electricity distributors proposed annual network tariffs for the twelve months commencing on 1 January 2016. The Victorian distributors are now subject to a revenue cap control mechanism, as opposed to the previously applied weighted average price cap.
The AER assessed these for compliance against the distribution determination price controls and for whether all energy consumption estimates are reasonable, as required by the National Electricity Rules.
