On 22 September 2021, TransGrid submitted its applications under clause 6A.7.2 of the National Electricity Rules to the AER for a negative network support pass through of costs in both 2019–20 and 2020–21 regulatory years. This was due to its actual network support expenditure being lower than what was forecast in TransGrid’s 2018–23 revenue determination for the respective years.

TransGrid’s application is seeking negative network support pass through amounts of $1,585,450 and $5,372,970 for the 2019–20 and 2020–21 regulatory years respectively.
