On 1 June 2023, the Department of Climate Change, Energy, Environment and Water (DCCEEW) published a consultation paper on Stage 2 of the Reliability and Supply Adequacy Framework. Stage 2 of the the reforms to the East Coast Gas Market builds on stage 1 by focusing on those elements of the framework which will help guide how AEMO uses its new powers and facilitate timely market-led responses to future threats by providing market participants with greater predictability and transparency.
The AER made a submission to the consultation paper on 19 July 2023.
