In accordance with the F-factor scheme Order 2016, distributors provided in September 2019 their respective fire start reports for 2018–19 in accordance with specified reporting templates. The Australian Energy Regulator (AER) requested Energy Safe Victoria (ESV) to validate the fire start reports.
In November 2019, ESV provided initial validation reports to the AER, who in turn requested submissions from the distributors regarding the ESV’s initial validation findings. Submissions and updated reports were received from AusNet Services and United Energy Distribution.
In February 2019, ESV provided final validation reports for each distributor.
