Three AGL retailers have paid penalties totalling $160,000 following the issuing of eight infringement notices by the AER. The infringement notices were issued because the AER had reasonable grounds to believe the AGL retailers breached rule 11.86.7(h) of the National Electricity Rules by failing to promptly appoint Metering Coordinators after receiving notice that customers’ meters were faulty.
