Consultation

The AER is currently considering whether the Reliability Emergency Reserve Trader (RERT) class waiver should be extended.

If it isn’t extended, distribution network service providers that want to provide RERT services via voltage management after 15 April 2025 would need to apply to the AER for an individual waiver.

On 14 November 2024, the AER released a consultation paper on the RERT class waiver.  This paper provides a background on the current class waiver, and a number of considerations which stakeholders may wish to take into account when making submissions.
