The Australian Energy Regulator is holding a forum to provide interested stakeholders with an update on our Review of payment difficulty protections in the National Energy Customer Framework.
The stakeholder forum will explore feedback received during consultation on our issues paper, which asked questions about:
- the effectiveness of existing protections for consumers experiencing payment difficulty
- whether there are opportunities to strengthen protections for consumers experiencing payment difficulty
- the benefits and limitations of other frameworks and approaches
- the costs and benefits of potential changes to the framework.
This forum is an opportunity for stakeholders to hear the perspectives shared with the AER during our consultation. It will be held online via Microsoft Teams at 10-11 am AEST on Tuesday 30 July 2024.
