Evoenergy submitted an application on 30 August 2023 for a waiver from clause 3.1(b) of the Ring-fencing Guideline (Electricity distribution). The waiver application was made to enable Evoenergy to complete changes to the electricity supply for a single, large site
In assessing this application, the AER considered the potential for harm to competition as well as the benefit from allowing for these changes to be completed in an orderly way.
On 22 May 2024, the AER granted a waiver to Evoenergy. The waiver will expire on 22 May 2026.
