On 5 February 2024, ElectraNet submitted a negative inertia shortfall cost pass through application to the AER. The application seeks to reduce ElectraNet’s 2024-25 revenue allowance by $6.15 million ($2023) to reflect a downward revision of their forecast inertia service charges for 2024-25.
On 22 March 2024, the AER published its determination on ElectraNet’s 2024-25 inertia shortfall cost pass through application.
Our decision is to approve a negative pass through amount for ElectraNet’s of $6.15 million ($2022-23). ElectraNet’s maximum allowed revenue for 2024-25 will be reduced by this amount.
