On 26 July 2023, the AER published the:

• draft gas pipeline information disclosure guidelines (draft Guidelines)
• Part 10 financial reporting template including the pricing template (for gas pipeline users)
• Part 10 financial reporting template handbook and basis of preparation template
• Part 18A price reporting guidelines (found within the draft Guidelines)
• Part 18A actual prices payable template (for stand-alone compression and storage facility users)

The draft Guidelines are intended to improve transparency and the bargaining power for users of gas pipeline and stand-alone compression and storage facilities. They set out the prescribed transparency information that service providers of gas pipeline and stand-alone compression and storage facilities must publish.

The AER held an public forum on 15 August 2023 to enable stakeholders to discuss the draft guidelines and templates before close of submissions on 23 August. The forum provided an overview of stakeholder issues, standardised templates, financial statements and other guideline sections. A pdf of the slides from the forum is provided below.
