In February 2013, the AEMC made a rule change introducing inter-regional transmission charging arrangements. Those arrangements required the AER to amend our pricing methodology guidelines, which we did in July 2014. Following this, transmission businesses were required to amend their pricing methodologies to give effect to the AEMC’s rule change and comply with our pricing methodology guidelines.
On 18 May 2015, the AER approved the proposed amendments to each transmission businesses' pricing methodology. This followed on from a period of consultation, during which no submissions were received.
