Consultation paper (2020)

On 1 October 2020 the AEMC received a rule change request in the form of a participant derogation from TransGrid, to amend the National Electricity Rules.

On 23 October 2020, the AEMC received a further rule change request from ElectraNet, also as a participant derogation, seeking similar amendments to the National Electricity Rules as TransGrid.

The rule change proposals seek to address issues TransGrid and ElectraNet have identified in securing financing for their respective Integrated System Plan (ISP) projects.

On 5 November 2020 the AEMC published a joint consultation paper for the rule change requests. The AER provided a submission to the AEMC on this consultation paper on 3 December 2020.
