The Australian Energy Regulator (AER) is embarking on ambitious project to improve energy network data collection and quality for more efficient use across the sector.
Our ‘Networks Information Requirements Review’ is taking a whole-of-sector approach to understanding today’s data needs, how it is collected, transferred and used.
We are calling on a wide range of participants, including regulated networks, energy consumers, policymakers and energy analysts, to join us on Thursday 21 April 2022 for an online discussion of how we are going to do it, and how you can help.
We need your insights so we can all reap the benefits of better-quality data.
To assist, we have released a discussion paper that covers a range of topics relevant to our longer-term vision for networks data that will include an update to the Regulatory Information Instrument.
Register to attend our online session or visit our Networks Information Requirements Review project page for more information.
We also welcome you to have your say on this project via a written submission. The deadline for submissions is Friday 6 May 2022.
