The Australian Energy Regulator (AER) has released its final framework and approach (F&A) papers for AusNet Services, CitiPower, Jemena, Powercor and United Energy for the 2021-25 regulatory control period.
An F&A provides direction to a service provider on how certain aspects of its next regulatory proposal should be framed. The F&A sets out the AER’s intended approach to service classification (the services we will regulate), form of control (how we will set prices for regulated services) and incentive schemes that aim to encourage cost efficiency and maintenance of service standards, amongst other things.
The Victorian distributors must submit their regulatory proposals for the 2021−25 regulatory control period by 31 July 2019.
