On 29 May 2018, the AER published its latest Quarterly Compliance Report: National Electricity and Gas Laws.
The report summarises the AER’s compliance monitoring and enforcement activities under the National Electricity Law and the National Gas Law from 1 January to 31 March 2018. It provides an overview of the results of certain investigations, targeted compliance reviews and projects undertaken during the quarter.
Through these quarterly publications we seek to inform businesses of obligations under the national energy laws and encourage a culture of compliance. The AER’s Quarterly Compliance Reports seek to promote transparency and good industry practice across Australia’s wholesale energy sector.
