Dr Kerry Schott AO, Independent Chair of the Energy Security Board, is holding a live webinar for stakeholders to discuss the National Energy Guarantee on Friday 10 November 2017 at 11−11.45 am AEDT.
Dr Schott will discuss the proposed mechanism, as outlined in the Energy Security Board’s advice to the Commonwealth government, and the next steps towards a power system with reliable energy, reduced emissions and improved affordability.
The National Energy Guarantee is due to be considered at the next COAG Energy Council meeting in late November. If Ministers decide to proceed, broad consultation and detailed design will follow.
The presentation will be followed by a live question and answer session. Stakeholders will be able to submit their questions online during the webinar.
This is a public event open to anyone with an interest in Australia’s energy future.
