AER invites submissions on its Draft Amended Ring-fencing Guideline

The AER has today published a proposed Draft Amended Ring-fencing Guideline and an accompanying Explanatory Statement. The AER invites interested parties to make written submissions on its Draft Amended Ring-fencing Guideline by close of business on 15 August 2017. The purpose of the proposed amendments is to improve the clarity of certain terms and to address unintended consequences stemming from the way the Guideline is presently drafted. This will facilitate compliance with the Guideline by electricity distributors by 1 January 2018.
