On 9 June 2017, the Australian Energy Regulator (AER) approved an electricity retailer authorisation application from Positive Energy TM Pty Ltd under the National Energy Retail Law. Positive Energy is now authorised to retail electricity as and when the National Energy Retail Law is adopted in each participating jurisdiction.
The AER sought submissions from interested stakeholders. Consultation on the application closed on 5 May 2017. One submission was received.
