On 22 July 2016, the AER approved an electricity retailer authorisation for Energy Locals Pty Ltd under the National Energy Retail Law. Energy Locals is now authorised to retail electricity as and when the National Energy Retail Law is adopted in each participating jurisdiction.
The AER sought public submissions on Energy Locals' application for retailer authorisation. Consultation on the application closed on 7 July 2016. No submissions were received.
