The Australian Energy Regulator (AER) has received regulatory proposals from the five electricity distribution service providers in Victoria. These set out the revenues the businesses propose to collect from electricity consumers through distribution charges for the next five year period—that is, 2016 to 2020.
The AER is satisfied the proposals from the Victorian distribution service providers comply with the requirements of the National Electricity Rules and Law. They include sufficient information for stakeholders’ to engage with, and have been published on the AER’s website.
Interested parties are invited to make a submission on the regulatory proposals and the AER’s negotiated distribution service criteria by 13 July 2015. We expect to publish our preliminary determinations in late October 2015, and final determinations by 30 April 2016.
