On 6 June 2014, the Australian Energy Regulator (AER) granted an individual exemption to Applied Environmental Solutions (AES) from the requirement to obtain an electricity retailer authorisation under the National Energy Retail Law.
The AER sought public submissions on Applied Environmental Solutions application for an individual exemption. Consultation on the application closed on 4 April 2014. Two submissions were received.
