On 16 April 2014, the Australian Energy Regulator (AER) accepted an application from Sungevity Australia for an individual electricity exemption from the requirement to hold a retailer authorisation under the National Energy Retail Law. Submissions closed 23 May 2014.
On 27 June 2014, the AER granted an individual exemption for Sungevity Australia for electricity.
Change of registered business name
On 26 May 2016, Sungevity changed its name to Roof Juice Australia Pty Ltd
