The AER is required to make a transmission determination for the Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO) in relation to the Victorian electricity transmission network. In August 2013, AEMO submitted its proposed negotiating framework and proposed pricing methodology to the AER. AEMO is not required to submit a revenue proposal.
Issues paper
The AER has published an issues paper on the AEMO transmission determination.
The issues paper is intended to assist stakeholders prepare their submissions to the AER.
Invitation for submissions
The AER invites written submissions on the pricing methodology and negotiating framework AEMO has proposed by close of business 25 November 2013. Submissions can be sent electronically to AEMOdetermination [dot] 2014aer [dot] gov [dot] au (AEMOdetermination[dot]2014[at]aer[dot]gov[dot]au).
The AER prefers that all submissions be sent in an electronic format in Microsoft Word or other text readable document form and publicly available, to facilitate an informed, transparent and robust consultation process. Accordingly, submissions will be treated as public documents and posted on the AER's website, except and unless prior arrangements are made with the AER to treat the submission, or portions of it, as confidential. Parties wishing to submit confidential information are requested to:
- clearly identify the information that is the subject of the confidentiality claim
- clearly identify the detriment that will occur if the information is disclosed; and
- provide a non-confidential version of the submission.
