On 12 August 2013, the AER published an information booklet regarding generator performance standards.
The technical performance requirements for generators require them to implement and maintain specific compliance programs pursuant to clause 4.15 of the National Electricity Rules. A similar obligation exists on Network Service Providers with respect to their protection and control schemes under clause 5.7.4.
The information booklet provides generators with an overview of the AER’s compliance monitoring approach specific to the performance standards regime established under clause 4.15 of the Electricity Rules. This includes the AER’s technical compliance audits and its treatment of generators in dry-storage.
