The Australian Energy Regulator (AER) has received electricity distribution pricing proposals for the 2013-14 regulatory year from Ausgrid, Endeavour Energy, Essential Energy, ActewAGL, Ergon Energy, Energex, Aurora Energy and South Australian Power Networks (SAPN). These proposals seek to set distribution network prices from 1 July 2013.
The AER will assess the proposals in accordance with the applicable provisions of the National Electricity Rules.
The pricing proposal received from SAPN is not complete and SAPN has indicated that further information will be submitted at a later date. This information is needed by the AER to assess SAPN’s pricing proposal. The AER has therefore requested that SAPN provide this information as soon as possible.
Distributors may provide updated prices when final transmission prices become available on 15 May 2013. The AER will publish additional information submitted by distributors at the time of submission.
The AER will provide a likely approval date for each distributor soon after 15 May 2013.
