The Australian Energy Regulator (AER) held a forum on 18 December 2012 to engage with stakeholders on our Better Regulation work program and the consultation process we are planning over the next 12 months. We received a very positive response to the forum, with over 100 representatives from industry and consumer groups attending.
We have now published notes from the forum on our Better Regulation web pages. These notes include a summary of the presentations given and some of the topics discussed. The introduction presented by AER Chairman Andrew Reeves is also available on all the Better Regulation web pages.
This week we also released issues papers for two of our Better Regulation work streams. These papers and details on how to make submissions on them are at the rate of return and expenditure forecast assessment web pages.
We are happy to meet with stakeholders that were unable to attend the forum, and we will also be progressing with a range of consultations for all our work streams.
