The Victorian electricity distribution businesses proposed changes associated with delivering AMI remote services to customers. These services cover remote re-energisation, remote de-energisation, remote special meter reads and remote meter reconfiguration.
The AER assessed Powercor's proposal under the Essential Services Commission Victoria (ESCV) Electricity Industry Guideline 14: Provision of Services by Electricity Distributors and prepared a final decision.
On 6 December 2012, the AER released its final decision on AMI remote services.
