The AER administers the Electricity Distribution: Ring-fencing Guidelines (Queensland) under clause 11.14.5(b)(3) of the National Electricity Rules. Energex and Ergon Energy have requested the AER to waive clauses 1(c), 1(d) and 2 of the Ring fencing Guidelines, to avoid duplication in the requirements for preparation of regulatory accounts. The AER is currently developing annual reporting arrangements that include maintaining and reporting regulatory account information.
The AER requests submissions from interested parties on this matter by 1 September 2011. Submissions may be sent to AERInquiryaer [dot] gov [dot] au (AERInquiry[at]aer[dot]gov[dot]au).
The applications from Energex and Ergon Energy are available on the AER website.
To allow for an informed and consultative process, all submissions will be considered as public submissions and will be posted on the AER website. If interested parties wish to submit commercial-in-confidence material to the AER they should submit both a public and a commercial-in-confidence version of their submission.
The public version of the submission should clearly identify the commercial-in-confidence material by replacing the confidential material with an appropriate symbol or ‘[c-i-c]’. All non-confidential submissions will be placed on the AER website.
