The Australian Energy Regulator (AER) has extended the time for EnergyAustralia to submit an application to pass through costs associated with the introduction of the NSW solar bonus scheme (scheme).
The AER granted this extension under clause 6.6.1(k) of the transitional chapter six rules of the National Electricity Rules, applicable to NSW and ACT DNSPs. The NSW Energy Minister is currently reviewing the scheme. In this context, the AER considered there was sufficient difficulty in assessing or quantifying the effect of the pass through event (the scheme’s introduction).
EnergyAustralia’s application must be submitted no later than 45 business days after the NSW Energy Minister’s review of the scheme is published. The application submitted subsequent to the NSW Energy Minister’s review will replace EnergyAustralia’s cost pass through application submitted on 2 September 2010.
EnergyAustralia’s 2 September 2010 application is available at the AER’s website.
