Dear Industry Participants
The AER is hosting a breakfast seminar from 9am until 10:30am (AEST) on 9th of September in relation to the AER's expected new retail functions under the National Energy Customer Framework (NECF). Tom Leuner, Angela Bourke, Fiona Walker and Lynley Jorgensen will be the speakers. Tom, Angela, Fiona and Lynley will be located in Melbourne, with video-conference links to Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, Hobart and Canberra. Subject to a few people attending in each location, morning tea and coffee will be provided in all locations.
This seminar will be a very high-level simple overview of the AER's new roles and the AER's guideline consultation process. It is designed for those who are perhaps new-starters in energy or who just want a short overview of the AER's new retail roles. This seminar is not part of the AER’s preliminary consultation on the development of guidelines under the NECF, and will not be providing any information that has not already been canvassed in recent public forums. Industry participants who have attended the AER’s retail forums on specific topics will generally already be aware of this information, so there is no need to attend.
