On 4 June 2010 the Australian Energy Regulator (AER) approved pricing proposals from the following distribution network service providers (DNSPs): ActewAGL (ACT), Country Energy (NSW), Integral Energy (NSW), Energex (Queensland) and Ergon Energy (Queensland), for the regulatory year 2010–11. The AER is yet to approve EnergyAustralia’s (NSW) pricing proposal.
The approved pricing proposals are available on the AER’s website.
The AER is required to approve a pricing proposal if it is satisfied that it complies with the distribution pricing rules, any applicable distribution determination and all associated forecasts are reasonable.
The distribution pricing rules applicable to the ACT and NSW DNSPs are set out in Part I of the transitional chapter 6 rules in appendix 1 of chapter 11 of the National Electricity Rules (NER). The distribution pricing rules applicable to the Queensland DNSPs are set out in Part I of chapter 6 of the NER.
