The Australian Energy Regulator has offered positions on its Customer Consultative Group (CCG) to nine organisations.

The organisations are the Australian Council of Social Service (ACOSS), the Australian Industry Group, the Brotherhood of St Laurence, Consumer Action Law Centre, Consumer Utilities Advocacy Centre, the Council on the Ageing (National), Public Interest Advocacy Centre, South Australian Farmers Federation and UnitingCare Wesley Adelaide.

The CCG will provide advice to the AER in relation to the AER’s functions under energy laws. The main focus of the group will be retail and non-price distribution issues.

The group will have its first meeting in February 2010. CCG members will be appointed for a two year term.
