The AER is required under Chapter 6A of the National Electricity Rules (NER) to make transmission determinations for SP AusNet and VENCorp in relation to the Victorian electricity transmission network. The application of Chapter 6A of the NER to the unique Victorian electricity transmission arrangements is reflected in a jurisdictional derogation in Chapter 9 of the NER.
On 28 February 2007, SP AusNet submitted its revenue proposal and proposed negotiating framework and pricing methodology to the AER.
VENCorp submitted its revenue proposal and proposed negotiating framework to the AER on 1 March 2007. VENCorp will submit its proposed pricing methodology separately by 31 May 2007.
The AER conducted the preliminary examination of the proposals required under clause 6A.11.1 of the NER. Additional information was sought from both SP AusNet and VENCorp by 30 April 2007, to satisfy the requirements of the AER's Submission Guidelines and the NER.
Both proposals are now available to interested parties on the AER's website (www.aer.gov.au).
Interested parties are invited to provide written submissions to the AER by close of business Wednesday, 13 June 2006.
Submissions can be sent electronically to aerinquiryaer [dot] gov [dot] au (aerinquiry[at]aer[dot]gov[dot]au)
Alternatively, submissions can be sent to:
