On 8 March 2007, the AER received an application from SP AusNet requesting approval for it to pass-through the financial effect of a "change in taxes event" into transmission charges to VENCorp, under the pass-through rules in SP AusNet’s 2002 revenue cap decision (section 5.7.5). SP AusNet’s application can be found on the AER’s website, www.aer.gov.au.
The "change in taxes event" relates principally to an easement land tax introduced as a result of the Land Tax (Amendment) Act 2004 (Vic). SP AusNet are also applying to pass-through a decrease in (non-easement) land tax, and an increase in Transmission License fees.
