On 31 May 2023, the AER instituted proceedings in the Federal Court alleging that four Jemena subsidiaries breached the National Gas Rules.
The AER alleges the Jemena subsidiaries failed to submit accurate Auction Quantity Limits to the Australian Energy Market Operator for four pipelines and ensure auction services were correctly scheduled for three pipelines.
The AER is seeking pecuniary penalties, declarations, an order requiring the implementation of a compliance program and costs.
