On 30 June 2020, the Australian Energy Regulator (AER) approved an application from Localvolts Pty Ltd (Localvolts) for an electricity retailer authorisation under the National Energy Retail Law (Retail Law).
Background
On 8 April 2020, the AER accepted an application from Localvolts for an electricity retailer authorisation under the National Energy Retail Law (Retail Law). Localvolts is now authorised to retail electricity as and when the Retail Law is adopted in each participating jurisdiction.
The AER sought submissions from interested stakeholders. Consultation on the application closed on Tuesday 13 May 2020. No submissions were received.
