On 5 June 2018, the AER approved an electricity retailer authorisation application from Evergy Pty Ltd (Evergy) under the National Energy Retail Law (Retail Law).
Background
On 8 February 2018, the Australian Energy Regulator (AER) accepted an application from Evergy Pty Ltd (Evergy) for an electricity retailer authorisation under the National Energy Retail Law (Retail Law). Evergy is now authorised to retail electricity as and when the Retail Law is adopted in each participating jurisdiction.
The AER sought submissions from interested stakeholders. Consultation on the application closed on 9 March 2018. No submissions were received.
