On 25 September 2015, the Australian Energy Regulator (AER) approved a retailer authorisation application from Mojo Power Pty Ltd (Mojo Power), previously known as Enegeni Operations Pty Ltd, under the National Energy Retail Law.
On Thursday 15th of June 2023, an order was made in the Supreme Court of Queensland for the winding up of Mojo Power. This constituted a Retailer of Last Resort (RoLR) event under the Retail Law.
Under section 142 of the Retail Law, the AER revoked Mojo Power's electricity retailer authorisation (AER reference E15004) on 16 June 2023. This means that, for the purposes of section 88 of the Retail Law, Mojo Power must not sell electricity to a person for premises in New South Wales, Queensland, the Australian Capital Territory, South Australia or Tasmania.
