The Australian Energy Regulator (AER) is providing a more in-depth quarterly analysis of the retail markets with the release of a new look quarterly retail performance report. The report for Q3 2021–22 looks at the market from January to March 2022, analysing current trends and providing comparisons with the same time in the previous year. The corresponding Q3 2021–22 data update is also provided.
The data is modelled on the AER (Retail Law) Performance Reporting Procedures and Guidelines schedules, which have been split into 3 spreadsheets:
- Schedule 2: customer numbers, switching, contracts, meter installations, tariffs
- Schedule 3: complaints, debt (non-hardship), Centrepay, missed pay on time discounts, credit collections, payment plans, disconnections
- Schedule 4: hardship customer numbers, hardship debt, hardship concessions, hardship payments, hardship program information, hardship assistance offered, hardship disconnections and hardship reconnections.
