Pelican Point Power and Simply Energy: failure to keep records under the National Gas Rules

Pelican Point Power and Simply Energy have paid penalties totalling $200,000 after being issued with nine and one infringement notices respectively by the AER. The AER issued the infringement notices as it had reasonable grounds to believe Pelican Point Power and Simply Energy breached rule 666(1) of the National Gas Rules by failing to keep contemporaneous records in relation to material renominations for use of a transportation service.
