CS Energy has paid penalties totalling $200,000 following the issuing of 10 infringement notices by the AER. The AER issued the infringement notices as it had reasonable grounds to believe CS Energy breached clause 4.9.8(d) of the National Electricity Rules by failing to ensure it was at all times able to comply with its frequency control ancillary service offers. CS Energy also repaid $1.13 million to the Australian Energy Market Operator it received as payment to provide the services.
