AC 379/11

On 25 November 2010, the AER wrote to regulatory managers of Distribution Network Service Providers (DNSPs) advising of the process to apply for distribution loss factors (DLFs) for 2011-12. Please see attached AER Communication 349. The major deadlines remain as follows:

Timeline for AER approval of DNSPs' 2011–12 DLFs

Friday, 11 March 2011 DNSPs submit DLFs and supporting documentation (including independent certification report) to the AER.

Thursday, 24 March 2011 AER provides approved DLFs to AEMO.

DNSPs’ DLF calculations and independent certification of these calculations should be submitted in electronic form by COB, 11 March 2011 to AERInquiryataer [dot] gov [dot] au (AERInquiry[at]aer[dot]gov[dot]au).

DNSPs should also note that as a transitional measure some jurisdictional regulators have voluntarily agreed to provide independent certification for some DNSP calculations. As the transfer of network regulation functions from jurisdictional regulators to the AER is largely complete, the AER prefers that this transitional measure should not continue beyond the current year.

Enquiries regarding the AER’s 2011–12 Distribution Loss Factor Approval Process can be sent electronically to AERInquiryataer [dot] gov [dot] au (AERInquiry[at]aer[dot]gov[dot]au) .
