The COAG Energy Council in March 2014 outlined its Statement of Expectations of the AER under an accountability and performance framework.
Our Statement of intent for 2016–17 sets out how we will meet the Council’s expectations. It includes our work program in regulating energy networks and markets, and benchmarks that will measure our performance. The statement also sets out how we aim to achieve principles of accountability and transparency, efficient regulation and effective engagement with stakeholders and other energy market bodies.
The AER annually provides a Statement of intent to the COAG Energy Council.
