The AER is responsible for monitoring activity in the Short Term Trading Market, Victorian Gas Market markets and on the National Gas Market Bulletin Board. The AER’s weekly gas market analysis forms an important part of this work. They contain information on market outcomes, price movements, demand changes, flows, and production. By monitoring activity in these markets, the AER is able to keep up to date with market conditions and identify compliance issues.

The 'Price and Volumes' reported for the Wallumbilla gas supply hub incorrectly stated the quantity traded for the week 30 March to 5 April as 52.5 TJ/day. The correct quantity traded for the week was 52.5 TJ in total.
