Queensland energy customers may be able to save hundreds of dollars on their bills each year by using the Australian Energy Regulator’s price comparison website, Energy Made Easy, to find a cheaper electricity offer.
“Energy Made Easy is now available in Queensland and is a useful tool to help consumers shop around and compare the details of energy offers to see if they could save money on their bills,” AER Chair Paula Conboy said in an address to consumer representatives in Brisbane today.
“Our website is designed to help customers understand and make informed choices about energy offers. It also provides helpful, clear information on navigating the energy market, including energy efficiency tips, help understanding bills and contracts, and dealing with salespeople.”
"Residential and small business in Queensland can visit Energy Made Easy, enter their postcode and answer a few simple questions to compare gas and electricity offers available to them,” Ms Conboy said.
