On 25 May 2012, the AER received an application for electricity retailer authorisation from WINenergy Retail Pty Ltd (WINenergy Retail).
WINenergy Retail is a wholly owned subsidiary of WINenergy Pty Ltd (WINenergy), where WINenergy operates as an agent for organisations who onsell electricity within embedded networks. WINenergy Retail proposes to retail electricity to large customers, including buildings in which WINenergy operates an embedded network.
The AER invites submissions on the application by Monday 25 June 2012. Submissions should be made in relation to the applicant’s ability to meet the entry criteria, as prescribed by section 90 of the Retail Law, and set out in the AER’s Retailer authorisation guideline.
